Description

SpecMan4EPR is a spectrometer control software designed for pulsed and continuous wave experiments. The software provides optimized and timed control of third party devices that have open programming interfaces such as GPIB, TCPIP or device specific libraries. The algorithm and user interface of the software are optimized for Electron Paramagnetic Resonance. Nevertheless the same software can be applied to other applications as well.

SpecMan4EPR is flexible and efficient. There is no limitations on the number and type of connected devices or acquisition channels. The roles of devices during an experiment are described in the configuration files. This allows to use the same SpecMan4EPR executable for multiple spectrometers and experiments.

The interface of the program is designed to satisfy most demanding experimental wishes and at the same time to hide from a regular user the underlying complexity. The built-in powerful pulse sequence engine that translates the command based description of a pulse sequence to connected pulse generators makes SpecMan4EPR an indispensable tool for the pulsed spectroscopy. Customizable and looking like text-book examples pulse sequence scripts allow to build complicated pulse experiments even for non-experienced user.
