Open the template experimental file and make it active. Template will not be added to the Data List. Templates have 'tpl' extension and do not contain experimental data. The path of templates directory is specified in the Options dialog. To create new template one can modify the existing template or experiment file and save it as a template (see Save Template). |

Load experiment file or template from the disk and open it in Experiment Editor. 'Open file' dialog contains additional panel on the right. This panel has three pages which present file overview, text of experiment file and data plot of the selected file. |

Save active experiment to the disk in SpecMan 'd01/exp' format. 'Save file' dialog contains additional panels at the bottom and on the right. Edit field at the bottom allows to edit the name of the experiment. Text editor on the right panel contains the copy of the sample description from the Sample description window. Any additional information can be entered. |

Create an exact copy of the current experiment and store it in Buffer (see Data List). |
|

Save current experiment at given time intervals. See Options dialog for settings. |

Back up (autosave) experiments done. See Options dialog for settings. |

| Save raw data |
Save experiment in raw format (under development). All data that reach acquisition engine of the program are directly saved into binary file with d02 extension. |

Terminate running experiment immediately. Last scan of the experiment will not be added to the experiment data (unless it was the only scan). The 'Experiment contains data' flag will not be set (see help on 'List of experiments'). |

Set spectrometer to the tuning mode. User can monitor the setup behavior at any experiment point and adjust parameters of experiment and devices. Data are not stored. |

Repeat running experiment continuously. Repetition counter will increase correspondingly. To stop experiment use the Finish Scan menu. |

Pause the execution of the experiment. Press again to continue. |
|
|
Force experiment to stop after finishing of the current scan. |
|
|
Suppress Storing. Current scan will not be added to the the accumulation buffer unless the option become unchecked. |

Some devices may need more sophisticated control interface than one that provided by 'Initial Device Setup' window. These devices can use their own custom Direct Control Interfaces. Interfaces can be opened from the 'Devices' menu. When there are no devices that have Direct Control Interfaces, the 'Devices' menu is empty.
